    Medical-grade TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) is widely used in medical devices such as catheters, dressings, and artificial organ components due to its excellent biocompatibility, high elasticity, and safety (non-toxicity).

    TPU is non-toxic, non-pyrogenic, and unlikely to cause allergic or immune rejection reactions. Compared to traditional PVC, TPU maintains its flexibility without the need for plasticizers (such as DEHP). This fundamentally eliminates the risk of plasticizer leaching and migrating into the human body or drug solutions, significantly enhancing clinical safety.

    TPU combines high elasticity, tensile strength, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance. Even under repeated bending or stress, it maintains its structural integrity and kink resistance, making it highly resistant to fatigue failure.

    The material exhibits excellent resistance to blood, bodily fluids, oils, and various chemical disinfectants. In particular, polyether-based TPU demonstrates exceptional hydrolysis resistance in humid or high-moisture environments, making it ideal for long-term contact with human bodily fluids.
    Broad Sterilization Compatibility and Ease of Processing
    TPU can withstand multiple mainstream sterilization methods, including ethylene oxide (EO), gamma radiation, electron beam, hydrogen peroxide, and dry heat. Meanwhile, it supports various manufacturing processes such as extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, electrospinning, and 3D printing, facilitating the production of complex, precise, and multi-lumen medical devices.
